The Selena Pierced Earrings are, in fact, ear threads. Single beads of opalite, glowing pale blue, hang from sterling silver ear threads. Opalite is a synthetic opalescent glass that shares many of the same qualities as naturally-occurring opal and moonstone.
Ear threads are very thin chains with a short post attached to one end, and, typically, an ornament or bead attached to the other end. You use the post to thread the chain through your ear piercing, and you can pull the thread through and adjust it to any length you wish. Ear threads are stunning, simple, and very elegant. These threads are entirely made of sterling silver.
